In which Lakṣmaṇa strides unopposed through jewelled Kiṣkindhā, past chiefs mansions and seven courts, and beholds Sugrīva enthroned with Rumā.
Lakṣmaṇa enters dreadful Kiṣkindhā cave at Rāma command — Gate monkeys stand folded fearing breathing prince and bar not — He beholds jewelled flowering cave with markets wish-trees perfumed wines — He sees Mēru-Vindhya many-storied palaces rivers and chief houses on royal road — He sees white women-jewelled houses and Mahēndra-like Sugrīva palace with guards — He enters unopposed like sun into cloud passing seven courts to guarded harem — He hears string song amid gold-silver couches beholding proud women and measured attendants — He finds gold-hued Sugrīva on golden couch clasping Rumā and beholding him
