In which Rāma halts by Gaṅgā at Śr̥ṅgavērapura where dear friend Guha offers his whole kingdom and rich nightly feast
Rāma nears Śr̥ṅgavērapura past broad Kōsala — Beholds divine Gaṅgā loud with swans and crocodiles — Halts by flowering iṅgudī tree for night — Niṣāda chief Guha comes with kin and ministers — Guha embraces Rāma and offers land and rule — Guha brings rich foods arghya beds and fodder — Rāma declines gifts as vowed bark-clad ascetic — Takes only fodder and LakṣmaṆa-fetched water — LakṣmaṆa washes feet of resting Rāma and Sītā — Guha Sūta and LakṣmaṆa guard sleeping Rāma
